Albany Curling Club
The Albany Curling Club was founded in 1954 and boasts 150 members, ranging in age from 13-70 years, who compete on two sheets (strips) of layered ice. The club offers male, female, mixed and youth leagues as well as intra-club bonspiels (competitive and social tournaments). The season begins in mid-October and lasts through mid-April. Prospective members should plan on attending one of the fall open houses for some basic instruction. During the season, interested athletes should call or email ahead to schedule a visit. Basic techniques can be learned in a single session. After that, it’s time for practice and lots of fun! Visit www.albanycurlingclub.com.
