Seventh Annual Adirondack Sports & Fitness Summer Expo
SARATOGA SPRINGS – It’s never too early to start thinking summer! Don’t miss out on the Capital Region’s summer outdoor sports, recreation and health/fitness marketplace! The seventh annual Adirondack Sports & Fitness Summer Expo will be back at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday-Sunday, March 10 & 11, 2012 with a huge selection of exhibitors plus sales, exciting demos, seminars, and family activities.
The Adirondack Sports & Fitness Summer Expo provides consumers with over 100 exhibits offering a selection of outdoor gear, products, services and expert advice. Exhibitors, retailers, manufacturers, professionals and organizations from outdoor recreation, health, fitness and travel will be on hand, featuring everything from bicycling, kayaking, running, hiking, camping, triathlon, health/fitness, clothing, gear, outdoor getaways and events.
On-water demos will take place all weekend in the 20x30 foot pool, featuring kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddling and whitewater demos led by Adirondack Mountain Club volunteers and other local experts.
A variety of seminars will be led by Adirondack Sports & Fitness magazine contributing writers and local experts. Topics will include running, bicycling, hiking and triathlon. Bill Ingersoll, the author of the Discover the Adirondacks series will be presenting one of the Adirondacks’ premier hiking routes, the Northville-Placid Trail. Bill recently hiked the NPT and will be sharing photos and stories from this adventure.
The Summer Expo takes place on March 10 & 11 at the Saratoga Springs City Center. Admission is free. Hours are Saturday, March 10: 10am - 5pm and Sunday, March 11: 10am - 4pm.
Celebrating 11 years, Adirondack Sports & Fitness magazine, based in Clifton Park, is a free distribution publication with a monthly circulation of 20,000 copies. The magazine covers individual aerobic sports and fitness and it has been the essential guide for outdoor sports and fitness enthusiasts in the region.
